As Brooklyn Beckham celebrated turning 16 this week, he excitedly
shared a picture of the exclusive Yeezy trainers he'd received from
rapper Kanye West as a gift. But he isn't the only one in the family
boasting possession of the pricey footwear, a collaboration between
the hip-hop star star and Adidas - as his dad, David Beckham, was seen
sporting a pair.
The retired footballer, 39, was spotted donning the Velcro and
lace-up fashion items as he made his way to Lotus and Frog toy shop in
the north London neighbourhood of Primose Hill on Friday.
Father-of-four David, married to singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham, teamed his shoes with a black T-shirt, slim-cut jeans and a black beanie hat for his quick shopping excursion.
For his part, proud dad David marked his oldest son's birthday by sharing a black-and-white snap of him nestling lovingly into Brooklyn's hair, alongside the message: 'Happy Birthday to my big boy.'
The football hero shared a rare insight into the private family album on Wednesday as he celebrated his the biggest of his brood's special day with a photo post to Facebook.
David, who also has children Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10, and three-year-old Harper with Victoria, 40, played the embarrassing dad card when he also pulled out a toddler snap from the collection.
The picture showed Beckham in his full Manchester United kit from an FA Premiership game against Tottenham Hotspur in 2000.
Proud dad David brought his son, also in full regalia, onto the pitch and held his hand as the toddler confidently marched ahead wearing daddy's medal.
In the shots, David is seen sporting a shaved head with diamond studs worn in each ear, an image far removed from his now refined and ruggedly-handsome style.
